2002年中国科学技术大学计算机系博士毕业，获计算机软件与理论专业博士学位。

2002年起在国家高性能计算中心（合肥）从事并行计算与应用相关的研究工作。

2011年受邀参与《算法导论》第三版的主要翻译工作。

已主持国家重点自然科学基金子课题及面上课题、973子课题、863子课题1项各1项，作为骨干参加了863、973、发改委和工信部等课题十余项。

在Bioinformatics、PLoS ONE、BMC Bioinformatics、计算机学报和软件学报等刊物和国际学术会议上发表学术论文50余篇。
