Maher Zain，中文译名马赫·仔，1981年出生于黎巴嫩。从小就热爱音乐的他，音乐和创作成了他生活中不可缺少的一部分。在他8岁时，举家搬迁到瑞典，后来在那里Maher Zain进了大学，并获得了航空工程学士学位。Maher Zain曾跟随天才的音乐制作人RedOne，一起担任制作，并在2006年跟随其赴纽约，在那里工作过几年。后来为了实现他的梦想，又返回瑞典开始了演唱事业。
2009年1月，Maher Zain开始在Awakening Records（一家著名的国际穆斯林音乐唱片公司，2000年成立于英国伦敦）制作自己的第一张专辑《Thank You Allah》。2009年11月1日，《Thank You Allah》正式发行，在穆斯林音乐界引起了极大的反响。
Maher Zain和Awakening Records成功地利用Facebook、Youtube、iTunes等新兴媒体渠道广泛宣传这张专辑。2010年初，他的音乐已经广泛传播于许多穆斯林国家，受到许多穆斯林青年的追捧。在2010年底，Maher Zain成为马来西亚当年Google搜索人气第一的人。马来西亚也是Maher Zain取得巨大成功的地方。2010年，他的专辑《Thank You Allah》作为当年最畅销的专辑，在马来西亚华纳音乐奖上获得8项金奖。2010年1月，Maher Zain以一曲《Nabi Salam Alayka》，击败了包括侯赛因.吉斯米（Hussein Al-Jismi）、穆罕默德.莫尼尔（Mohammed Mounir）、萨米.优素福（Sami Yusuf）在内的多名穆斯林知名歌手，一举获得Nujoom FM（中东最大的主流音乐电台）的最佳宗教歌曲奖。2011年《Thank You Allah》在印尼索尼音乐奖上获得两项金奖。
Maher Zain的歌曲主要用英文演唱，但他也尝试用其他穆斯林国家的语言去演唱他的歌曲。例如《Insha Allah》，现在已经发行了英语、法语、阿拉伯语、土耳其语、马来西亚语和印度尼西亚语等版本。另一首歌曲《Allahi Allah Kiya Karo》，由一名加拿大巴基斯坦裔的穆斯林歌手Irfan Makki演唱乌尔都语版。
2011年“阿拉伯之春”开始后，Maher Zain于3月发布了一首单曲《Freedom》,声援中东国家寻求变革的人们。
2011年7月，Maher Zain登上英国穆斯林杂志《Emel》的封面人物。
