生平
沃恩侧身于玄学派诗人之列，受乔治·赫伯特影响较大，然而他有自己的风格：一是对天真无邪的童年之向往，二是对自然环境有敏感的反应。沃恩诗歌的这两大特点对后来的浪漫主义诗人华兹华斯有很大影响。沃恩的主要著作有诗集《矽土的火花》或称《圣诗集》（1650）（Silex Scintillans: or Sacred Poems and Pious Ejaculations）。
